Three New Google Ads Tools You Should Know About
Discover these new Google Ads tools and how to use them.
One of the best ways to generate high intent leads is by advertising on Google. It’s arguably the best channel to capture bottom of the funnel interest, people actively searching for what you sell or promote. So, when there’s a new tool to help make Google Ads even better and easier to use, you should know about it.
Google Ads launched the Ads Creative Studio which they call, “A unified home for creative tools.” Previously, advertisers had to use several different Google products to get the creative tools they needed. Now, you can find the tools you previously found in products like YouTube, Display and Video 360, and Campaign Manager 360 all in Ads Creative Studio. This includes:
- Director Mix
- Dynamic display and HTML5 tools
- Audio Mixer and dynamic audio
According to Google, “From the project library, you can create and manage video, display and soon, audio creatives…We’ve also redesigned the process to build creatives across ad types, so you can easily generate variations that are customized to your audience.”
Here are three new Google Ads tools from the Ads Creative Studio to start using.
Creating video ads for YouTube is easier than ever.
Part of the Ads Creative Studio is the ability to quickly create video ads for YouTube. You can leverage templates that were specifically designed for YouTube to drive results. Having templates provides access to many marketers and affiliates who don’t have access to a designer. Test these templates against your current ads to see which performs better.
Collaborating with your team is simpler.
Thanks to Google’s new Asset Library, teammates can upload, download, and share assets from current and previous campaigns. Their visual-first database makes collaboration easier than ever. The Asset Library is available for Performance Max, Discovery, App, Local, and Display campaigns. Multiple users can work together on the same project. You can collaborate on template creation, design rules, and finalize a project through review and QA all from Ads Creative Studio. The Asset Library makes creating a campaign simple; just visit the library and click on the assets you need. “The initial experience with Ads Creative Studio has been really promising; the potential for the platform to make creative production across teams and formats seamless and efficient is a game changer,” says Mitchell Pok, Director, Creative Services & Technology at MightyHive, an early tester of the product.
According to Google, “When it comes to advertising on YouTube, audio is your superpower for getting people to pay attention and take action.” They studied what drives results for thousands of ads on YouTube and their research shows that audio elements contribute significantly. A voice-over audio feature has been integrated into the new video creation tool. This new feature uses Google’s speech-to-text tech and can be found in the asset library. You can also choose between seven voices in languages including:
“Knowing the importance of audio elements, combined with the challenges that come with creating or changing voice-over, we set out to make it easy and fast for every ad to have a quality voice-over.” Powered by their AI technologies, the new feature converts text input into natural-sounding speech that can be overlayed on a YouTube video. You can hear an example of the new voice-over audio feature in this Sony ad.
Creative is costly. If you are a small business owner or affiliate marketer, you might not have the budget to hire a designer or agency to consistently create image or video ads for your campaigns. However, ad fatigue is real and could be costing you conversions. The new Google Ads tools will help you create ads in less time and more efficiently. Try them out and let us know what you think.
